The Case

A Network for Better Care

Majority of the senior citizens in The Netherlands prefer to live in their own homes as long as possible. Social services organizations enhance the quality of life of an elderly by providing help such as daily household management, meals, specific patient care, or social activities.

The number of health care professionals caring for an elderly client can escalate quickly to a whole group working in shifts. There is a need to inform each other about the work, as well as the needs, the health, and the general mood of their client. A client’s family members want to stay involved and informed as well.

The Solution

Group Chat with Help from AI

LX Futures has developed an app for group chat between health care providers and the family members of the client. A new group chat is generated each day, while the previous days are stored as a logbook.



Voice to Text AI Feature

Health care professionals can now report to stakeholders with the AI voice to text service. They just need to record a few sentences, and the AI will create a written summary. The solution saves time and enables care workers to report at any given time, not just at the end of their shift.

Additional Features

Rate the Day

The health care workers can rate the day of the client on quality from 1 to 5, where the mean of all ratings summarizes the quality of that given day. The criteria for number 5 are: nothing out of ordinary happened and the client was in a good mood.


Reduce the Number of Clicks

We reduced the workload for the health care providers with the clever UI. Only one click to rate the day, and only one click to record a report.


Calendar

LX Futures has also developed a calendar feature that helps everyone keep up with the appointments of the client.


UI for Seniors

Majority of the family members of the clients are seniors as well. Hence we designed the app taking into concern their needs like enhanced color contrast, font and icons size.
